Summer Bishil (born June 15 15, 1985) is an American actor best well-known for her performance as Margo for the role of Margo on The Magicians, a Syfy show that ran from 2015 until present. She had previously gained recognition as the character of a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun who undergoes turbulent personal struggles against an environment that is dominated by the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. Following that she was voted one of the Ten actors in Variety's list of to See. The 2009 film Crossing Over, in which she was a powerful female character in the lead role named Taslima Jhangir and was nominated by the Independent Spirit Award as the leading actress. She has also acted in movies like Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star and Under the Silver Lake and had a number of guest appearances on television in addition to playing co-lead roles in Lucky 7.
